Banner Smoked Fish

Banner Smoked Fish was founded by Avi Attias at the age of 18, in February of 1988. He was young, ambitious, and driven to succeed with his smoked fish endeavors. His passion for smoked fish started when he worked as a delivery driver for a different smoked fish company two years prior. There, he worked his way up into production, sales, and learned about the business.

Later, when the company he worked for was sold he borrowed some money from a friend and bought his first batch of fresh salmon from the fish market in Manhattan. He smoked it at a different facility and brought it to market, since his first 1,000 pounds of salmon he has since produced 50,000,000 pounds of salmon and produces more than 2,000,000 pounds each year.
